No account is needed to use the site. Visitor reports (water, crowd, seaweed) are stored with a salted hash of the sender's IP address for rate limiting, never the address itself.
Analytics are cookieless. Server logs keep request addresses for up to 30 days for abuse prevention.
"Near you" lists, when enabled, use the approximate location from the request address and are not stored. Browser location is asked for explicitly and is never stored.
Affiliate links, when present, are marked. Booking partners set their own cookies on their own sites after you click through.
