Instead of starting from a destination list, pick the feature that matters, calm water, parking, sunset over the water, restaurants, lifeguards, camping, and compare the beaches that measurably have it on a map. Each list says how the feature is measured and why each beach qualifies.

Each beach page combines the beach's location and shoreline, its amenities within walking distance, a Beach Score with the fact behind each part, hours and rules from the operator, monthly sea and air temperature, licensed photographs, nearby beaches, and today's conditions, so you can decide where to go and whether today is the day.
